US and Taiwan announce formal bilateral trade talks



The US has declared that they will start formal exchange discussions with Taiwan, weeks after a disputable visit by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.


The principal round of talks are supposed to start in "late-summer", said the Office of US Trade Representative.
